In our system, a relative position encoder is used, that is, an incremental photoelectric encoder is used. Since the incremental photoelectric encoder outputs a two-phase signal with a phase difference of 90° per revolution, it also outputs a “zero†pulse signal (ie, one pulse signal per revolution). Therefore, when using it to establish the origin of the coordinate system, a limit switch must be set in front of the origin as a zero return switch. When the switch is touched by the bumper on the table of the corresponding coordinate axis, the table decelerates while waiting for the output of the "zero" pulse in the incremental photoelectric encoder.
Once the zero pulse is output, the workpiece table stops moving. At this time, the reading on the corresponding coordinate axis on the display is zero. The position at this time is considered to be the origin of the machine axis of the axis. This type of machine must perform a "zero return" operation after each power on, otherwise the origin position of the machine coordinate system can not remain stable, resulting in system malfunction. The position of the part blank on the workbench is random, so the programmer can only choose the origin of his programmed coordinate system according to the size marked on the part pattern.
