Arrow and Bosch Sensors Sign Global Distribution Agreement

Arrow Electronics and Bosch Sensortec have signed a global distribution agreement to provide Bosch Sensortec products. Bosch is a major supplier of MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) sensors worldwide. The company has expanded its products based on automotive applications to the consumer electronics market and now offers a variety of MEMS device combinations for the Internet of Things (IoT). Arrow offers a wide range of IoT solutions ranging from component level to complete, secure, end-to-end deployable services.

Since 1995, Bosch has designed and manufactured more than 8 billion MEMS sensors and has more than 1,000 patents for MEMS technology. Its own expertise is driving product roadmaps, supporting software and reference designs, enabling mobile and IoT devices to feel and perceive the world around them. Bosch Sensortec currently offers a wide range of highly integrated sensor products for IoT node requirements for applications such as Smart Home and Industry 4.0.

Arrow's IoT product portfolio includes a comprehensive range of hardware components, development platforms and software tools linked together by services to provide the widest range of available IoT products. Arrow and Bosch Sensortec will jointly seek opportunities for inertial, environmental and smart sensors in applications including wearables, smart homes, building automation, industrial 4.0, home robots, toys, augmentation and virtual reality and drones. With the integration of multiple sensors in a single device, the package size is reduced to meet energy efficiency and space requirements. Bosch Sensortec's sensor data fusion software helps achieve optimal application performance. The software separates the static and dynamic acceleration and 3D tilt compensation, eliminates magnetic distortion, and determines the sensor's calibrated resting position.
