China Resources Packaging Materials Co., Ltd. built a new 600,000-ton polyester project in Changzhou. So far, China Resources Chemical has annual production capacity of 1.3 million tons of PET bottles in Changzhou and Zhuhai, and has become the largest supplier of bottle grade polyester chips.
The project has invested about 750 million yuan, consisting of two sets of 300,000 tons of main equipment and supporting utilities and other ancillary equipment. It started on April 28, 2011.
On the same day, Changzhou Xinrun Petrochemical Storage & Storage Co., Ltd., a joint venture between China Resources Packaging and Changzhou Gaoxin, was established. According to the plan, two piers, a pipeline-specific bridge and 700,000 cubic meters of liquid chemical storage tanks will be constructed. The construction will be carried out in three phases. At present, the first phase of the project, namely the pier, pipeline bridge and 170,000 cubic meters of storage tanks will be put into use.
