COSCO "Sea Forklift" successfully installed offshore oil platform

Recently, COSCO's new semi-submersible vessel, Kangshengkou, successfully installed the PUQC (ProductionUtilities Quarters Compression Platform) in the Vietnamese waters using the DP system of its own ship. This is the third time that COSCO Shipping's new semi-submersible ship successfully completed the dynamic fixed-point installation of offshore oil platforms. Previously, Taian Orienter successfully completed the central processing module of the offshore oil and gas drilling platform TOPSIDE (more than 9,600 tons) and crude oil processing equipment BR-E on July 27, 2003 and Kangshengkou on February 16, 2006 in the Malaysian oil field in the Gulf of Thailand. Offshore dynamic fixed-point installation of the platform (more than 11,000 tons).

The Kangsheng mouth wheel, which is known as the “sea forklift”, implements offshore dynamic fixed-point installation operations.
