De Vos stated that the newly added four autonomous driving departments will continue to operate as independent divisions, but they will coordinate on the project. Delphi will also spin off the powertrain division to focus on the research and development of auto-connected automotive systems technology, the culmination of Delphi's focus on advanced technology over the years.
