MaxPette Pipette Aid This revolutionary battery powered pipette controller works with glass and plastic pipettes in the 1 to 100 ml range. The MaxPette was designed with the user in mind. It has a lightweight handle with smooth push-buttons and ergonomically located switches.

The aspiration speed can be set to high or low to adjust for the volume of the pipette and viscosity of the liquid. The suction can also be adjusted by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger button. Dispensing can be carried out by gravity or supported by the pump, which empties the pipette with a blow out step.
The MaxPette is protected from the entrance of liquids by both a PTFE filter and a safety valve. To protect samples from cross contamination, both the filter and pipette holder are easily exchanged and autoclaved.
When fully charged, the MaxPette can be used continuously for eight hours. When the low battery light is lit, the unit should be recharged. Should the charge run out while working with the pipette, simply attach the power supply and continue to use. The battery is protected against over charging by timing and thermal systems. The MaxPette is supplied with the power supply/charger and PTFE filter.

Conveyor Idler seals are used to keep substances such as grease and lubricant in, while keeping dirt, fluids, and other contaminants out. One advantage to this type of seal is that when small amounts of leakage occur across the seal, as is inevitable, contaminants from the outside still can't get all the way inside, and the materials being sealed may not make their way all the way to the other end. This minimizes fouling caused by mixing of contaminants and sealed fluids.
The Labyrinth Seal has a number of grooves which interlock with other grooves or teeth. This differs from most traditional seals, which use a single lip in an attempt to seal an opening. With the labyrinth seal, each groove acts as its own lip, distributing pressure across the seal rather than concentrating it in one area. While a labyrinth seal cannot deal with high pressure differentials, it can be used in many other types of environments.
