Cargotec's MacGregor will supply lashing equipment for 12 19200TEU container ships. The new ships are being built by a Korean shipyard for a European shipowner. MacGregor’s equipment orders were acquired in the first quarter of this year and are expected to be delivered this year. 
It is reported that these ultra-large container ships are being built by two Korean shipyards, of which six construction contracts have been awarded to Daewoo Shipbuilding, and the other six orders have been awarded to Samsung Heavy Industries. Both shipyards have previously worked with MacGregor and are familiar with the delivery capabilities of the company's cargo handling and safety systems, especially large container ships.
In addition to the lashing equipment, MacGregor will also deliver hatch covers and fixed lashing gears.
