Pulse sensing technology is one of the most widely used sensing technologies, but the pulse sensing devices still face severe challenges in terms of sensitivity, signal-to-noise ratio, power consumption and cost.
The new device developed in the test successfully converted pulse vibration directly into an electrical signal of up to 1.52V with a signal-to-noise ratio of 10 times that of a photoelectric pulse sensor and a price of 1/5 of the latter. Integration of the pulse sensor with the Bluetooth module enables wireless transmission of pulse signals and visualization and analysis on a smartphone / computer. Using the pulse sensing system, researchers conducted a comparative study of a group of healthy adults and a group of patients, successfully prompted the diagnosis of arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation) and the differential diagnosis of coronary heart disease and atrial septal defect.
This work validates for the first time the feasibility of self-driven sensing technology based on friction nano-generator in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and provides a new idea for the development of mobile intelligent health care.
