On October 12th, Johnson Controls released the Metasys® 8.0 building automation system. A new generation of Metasys® with new system configuration and programming capabilities, and enriched information technology (IT) capabilities to increase efficiency, reduce energy consumption and enhance security, and continue to be the first to become a building automation system for any mobile terminal (BAS) )one.
The new generation of building automation systems is easier to operate, faster to troubleshoot and perform tasks, and to reduce risk while making system integration easier. Key performance improvements for Metasys® 8.0 include:

The new generation of Metasys® 8.0 building automation systems is based on an upgrade of the performance of the Metasys® family of products, with the flexibility and scalability of its products to maximize the value of the owner's investment. The system retains and enhances the upfront investment in the building construction phase, while its technology is applicable to buildings of varying sizes and complexity.
